With the vast majority of society still not understanding, still fearing, and still unaccepting of Paganism, places to practice this religion are few and far between. Many people practice in their homes or on their private property. Even if you practice with a coven, you still need your own space.
Most Wiccans and Witches have at least one altar in their home. An altar is more than just an artfully arranged collection of curious objects. It represents the fundamental nature of devotion on the material plane. It is with our magical tools that we seek to uncover the hidden mysteries of the Goddess. Like the Grimoire, the altar is also physical representation of our relationship with deity.
